A SMALL AMOUNT OF STORAGE
Cookies & storage
Last updated:
Quiet uses essential account cookies. This website does not set advertising cookies or use third-party analytics trackers.
Cookies on this website
The public website and its example schedule can be used without an account. The example runs in the page and does not connect to your phone. Signing in uses the following first-party cookies:
Account session
__Host-quiet-hours-session
Keeps an encrypted account session so the server can check your sign-in and account access.
Lifetime: up to 7 days; cleared on sign-out or successful account deletion.
Google sign-in attempt
__Host-quiet-hours-oauth
Temporarily connects a Google sign-in attempt with its return to this website and protects that exchange.
Lifetime: up to 10 minutes; cleared when the return is processed.
These cookies use HTTPS on the live website, are unavailable to page scripts, and use browser protections to reduce misuse. A valid cookie alone does not grant admin access: restricted account features require a current account permission check. Expired or revoked sessions can require signing in again sooner.
Shared sign-in and Google
When you follow a shared Shogun Dot Dev sign-in, verification or recovery page, that service may use its own essential session cookies on its domain. If you choose Google sign-in, Google may use cookies on its own pages under Google's cookie information. Those are separate from the two Quiet website cookies above.
Your choices
You can delete or block cookies using your browser's privacy settings. This can sign you out or interrupt Google sign-in; the public pages remain available. Use the Account page's sign-out option to request session revocation as well as clearing the browser cookie. Clearing browser cookies alone does not delete the shared account.
Storage on Android
Quiet stores schedules, rules and call activity in app storage and stores account credentials using Android's secure storage facilities. It caches contact names and activity locally to keep the interface responsive. These are app storage, not website cookies.
Google's Mobile Ads SDK and User Messaging Platform may store ad-related data and privacy choices on your device. The free app checks privacy requirements before requesting banners on Log, allowlists or blocked-number lists; verified Pro access removes ad requests and displays. Use Settings → Privacy & data → Ads & privacy → Manage ad privacy choices to review the options available for your region. Testing builds also store a separate optional demo-banner choice, which is never treated as consent for live ads. Clearing app storage removes locally saved choices but does not erase information already received by Google. This does not add advertising cookies to this website. See the privacy policy for SDK data use and controls.
The Android app also saves the last valid minimum-version setting so it can recognise a required update while offline. A successful update check replaces this setting. It contains version information, not account credentials.
Change permissions in Android Settings. To remove local app data, clear Quiet's storage or uninstall it. Shared-account deletion is a separate action described in the deletion guide.
If you choose a Pro caller background photo, Quiet keeps a resized, account-specific copy in private storage on this phone. It is excluded from backups and does not sync to other phones. Remove it from Settings > Personalization, or clear app storage. Pro expiry stops it applying while keeping your choice saved.
